During Microsoft’s production on-stage at E3 in 2016, the company played a highlights reel of games coming to the platform via the ID@Xbox program where Indie developers can publish their efforts on the Xbox and Windows store to reach fans on both PC and Xbox. One of the games that might have slipped past viewers and would-be players alike was one by the name of The Culling.
The team behind The Culling, Xaviant, have been running a public preview via Steam’s Early Access platform for a while. An announcement by the dev team, however, announced two huge changes to come in the new year. First, the team is adding a new arena, The Big House, to the game and simultaneously moving it from the ‘alpha’ stages of development to a ‘beta’ on Steam Early Access. The bigger news, surprisingly, is the team making public their plan to bring the game to Xbox’s Game Preview Program in the first half of 2017. The Culling‘s official Twitter account tweeted out a link to the huge update coming to the game on Steam, and included a snippet of text, embedded below:
Did we mention that we're coming to @Xbox Game Preview Program this year?

While the game didn’t get a hard-and-fast date for Xbox players to mark in their calendars, the team is obviously eager to share their game with even more arena-loving fans. On top of the game coming to Xbox Game Preview the game will also, according to its initial spot in the ID@Xbox reel from E3, will support Xbox Play Anywhere so Windows 10 gamers can sync files between their machines, as well as PC players having another option of where to buy the game and hop into the bloody fun.
