Today, Microsoft announced the Xbox Games Showcase will be returning this year on June 7, 2026, at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. Following the Xbox Showcase will be a Gears of War E-Day Direct focusing solely on the prequel being developed by The Coalition.
The Xbox Games Showcase will provide first gameplay looks and big news on upcoming titles from first-party studios and third-party partners around the world. Expect to see large AAA games and even indie titles at this show.
New Xbox boss, Asha Sharma, announced they are bringing back Xbox FanFest as part of the Xbox 25th Anniversary in Los Angeles. This will take place on June 7th, after the show. There will be more information to share regarding FanFest. It will likely feature games that attendees will be able to play that were shown off during the livestream.
The last couple of years, there have been exclusive directs following the Xbox Games Showcase. In 2023, it was Starfield, and the last couple of years featured Black Ops 7 and The Outer Worlds 2.
