After the trilogy curated by Crystal Dynamics, the push to return to the Tomb Raider IP has been a slow burn most noticeably. However, things are beginning to ramp up thanks to what we saw at The Game Awards in December. One reveal was Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis which stands as a remake for the 1996 classic. And, the other is Tomb Raider: Catalyst, a new mainline entry for the IP.

Previously, it was announced that one of the previous installments would be hitting mobile devices. That would be 2013’s ‘Tomb Raider’. Instead, Feral Interactive would be handling the port for the game. In the past, the developer has worked on other western Square Enix releases for the platform like Hitman: Absolution and in tangent with the series also ported Hitman: Blood Money as well.

Now on Thursday, Feral Interactive officially launches Tomb Raider for both Google Play Store & App Store. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

“A freak storm turns the expedition of a lifetime into a battle to survive for a young Lara Croft. Now, shipwrecked and stranded on a long-forgotten isle, the mystery that once shrouded its shores gives way to a grim reality…” the synopsis reads. “ Hunt for materials and craft equipment to survive the elements. Battle Yamatai’s crazed cultists and ruthless mercenaries. Delve into the jungle and solve the puzzles within its ancient ruins.”

It also shares: “Tomb Raider features intuitive touch controls, as well as full gamepad and keyboard & mouse support, alongside a raft of accessibility and quality of life improvements for the ultimate adventure on the go. This is the complete origin story of gaming’s most intrepid heroine, a blockbuster action-platformer, brought to mobile without compromise, and placed in the palm of your hand.”

Are you planning to get Tomb Raider for mobile?

Tomb Raider is out now for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS, and PC.
