2K is rumored to have a BioShock related announcement soon

BioShock fans have been patiently waiting for new information on BioShock 4 and the upcoming Netflix movie that has been announced. It was reported in 2024 that development on the next BioShock game is “ramping up”. Since then, we have not heard anything about the next project.

According to reliable insider, Kurakasis, 2K is preparing an announcement related to the BioShock franchise. He does not know what it’ll be about, but the information he has obtained suggests it will happen soon and most likely before the end of Summer.

Kurakasis also suggests the possibility of a remake or a proper remaster of the original BioShock. He goes on to say that “the city of Rapture will play a significant role in the upcoming announcement.” The details they have reference to the original 2007 BioShock game.

New BioShock Game Has Been In Development

It was in 2020 when Take-Two Interactive announced that the new BioShock game would be in development for the next several years. It has been 5 years since that statement, and we could be nearing the end of the long wait.

BioShock 1 was released in 2007, following it was BioShock 2 in 2010, and the last game in the series we received was BioShock Infinite in 2013. There was a period of time when we thought a fourth game would never be possible.
