While fans were already anticipating the today’s Xbox Games Showcase to feature upcoming narrative-focused properties like Dontnod Entertainment’s Tell Me Why, which will be shipping next month, developer Interior/Night has revealed its new project that expands on the genre of in-depth story telling. Announcing As Dusk Falls, the game follows two families over the span of three decades with featuring tragedy and heartbreak between both households.

Alike with other story-centered experiences, As Dusk Falls will hone in on the element of player-based decisions and will unravel in different and unique outcomes for users who make their own conclusions that will be different than other playthroughs. As Dusk Falls is our studio’s debut game. It is about two families whose trajectories collide in the Arizona desert in 1999,” Creative Director Caroline Marchal discloses. “Most stories start at the beginning, but this story starts in the middle, gradually widening outward to encompass multiple points of view over a thirty year span; a story spiral that explores the past, present and future of a single dramatic night.”

Of course, As Dusk Falls will also be shipping day one for Xbox Game Pass when the title arrives later on. Currently, the title while listed for Xbox Series X does not have a solid release date. Stay tuned for more details when information comes out on the new project.
