Among Us has remained a popular IP despite its abrupt upbringing during the COVID pandemic. While other titles fell off, the InnerSloth title has continued to occupy its lobbies with returning players. One major influence is the crossovers that it featured in the past year. During the series anniversary, Like a Dragon held a major event in 2025 which showcased skins for protagonists Kazuma Kiryu & Ichiban kasuga.
There was also the two Ace Attorney events that were held at separate times: for both Phoenix Wright as well as Miles Edgeworth. Recently, Paramount+ also released its Among Us animated series on the streaming platform. The show consists of 10 episodes showcasing hijinks between a diverse cast of different colored crewmates.
Now at Summer Game Fest, InnerSloth revealed a new Among Us project – Among Us Story: On Guard. The game is currently in development for PC. You can watch the trailer in the video below:
“Take a step into our simulator to start the new Crewmate training program. Your first task? Become Guard! You’re in charge of shipwide security and ensuring the crew gets to their destination safely. Everything will be fine, provided an Impostor doesn’t start murdering Crewmates! But just hypothetically, if that does happen? You’ll need to prove your innocence and find the Impostor before it can get to the rest of the crew… and you,” the overview reads.
InnerSloth confirms that a demo for the game is to go live soon on June 15th. And while only a PC listing, Nintendo Switch & Nintendo Switch 2 is also planned for release also. “Right now our plans are for PC and the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2! It’s likely we’ll have more in the future, but don’t worry about it for now. You have much bigger, more murder-y things to worry about first.”
