Animal Crossing New Horizons will be receiving Mario themed furniture in 2021

The celebration for the 35th Anniversary of Super Mario Bros keeps getting better and better. We have learned that Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy are all coming in one package for the Switch. Not only that, Nintendo had announced Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit which uses physical RC cars is coming in October.

There is a lot more coming and it’s not just new games, other Nintendo titles will be received Mario themed events and items over the next few months. One of those games is Animal Crossing, it has been confirmed that New Horizons will be receiving Mario themed furniture in March 2021 which will mark it’s first year anniversary.

Knowing Animal Crossing’s history it was always known that they had Mario items in the game and it was interesting how there wasn’t any mention of it when New Horizons launched in March 2020. Mario items were always viewed as a ‘rare’ item as you would have to obtain them in a unique way.
