As many video game followers can already tell, this week has been an effective string of events for the Xbox platform. It was discovered early on when leaks for the Xbox Series S, A.K.A. Project Lockhart, was shared and Microsoft embraced the situation by unveiling the unit. Even more, Microsoft just yesterday used the opportunity to also disclose the pricing for the beefier Xbox Series X and spared that it will ship the same day as the Series S also.

With the news out there and positive reception being handed to Microsoft for its response to the premature information, many would presume that the competing Sony Interactive Entertainment would extinguish some of the news for the approach Xbox. But, the firm announced that this week will not be the time to learn more about the PlayStation 5.

In a new blog post this week, Sony disclosed that fans can expect plenty regarding games that are underway, specifically for PlayStation VR. So, any details regarding its next-generation system will be absent for the coming set of days.

Over the next few days, we’re going to spotlight some upcoming games coming to PlayStation VR, including some announcements and updates for previously revealed PS VR titles.

And as mentioned, this is all about the games. So to manage expectations, there’ll be no PS5-related news.

In participation for the PlayStation VR-focused week, Sony Interactive Entertainment also shared that a unique sale will be going live this week only sharing about a dozen titles to choose from. Those entries include Borderlands 2 VR, Firewall Zero Hour, Marvel’s Iron Man VR, an Superhot VR.

In affiliation with this week’s announcements, Sony also offered Mojang Studios a platform to announce PlayStation VR support for Minecraft. The new peripheral will stand as a client update for the base game and is slated to arrive later this September. You can read the full report by heading here.

What do you think Sony will announce for PlayStation 5 later on?
