When counting down the days for the highly-anticipated entry from Ubisoft Montreal with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, many are interested as to where the game will stand in storage space of the cross-generation release. It was earlier in September that Ubisoft announced the latest installment in the series would be releasing ahead of its originally slated November 17 launch.

Elaborating more on the announcement, the game would be shaving a week off of the wait for the game’s arrival to align its release with Microsoft’s Xbox Series X & Xbox Series S systems that month. So with less time to spare on the game arriving, this would mean the firm would need to release more information sooner on the upcoming title from Ubisoft.

While details are still scarce on the matters of the game’s file size, the Microsoft Store offers insight on the matters. When visiting the page, you will find that the game is listed for just over 50 GB, 50.1 GB to be exact. However, that is only from the Microsoft Store alone and console users should understand the game will expect more installing to follow the base client.

So while that is inching a little over its predecessor – Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will approach closer to 60 GB after the patches applied when it releases this November. And of course, that number will expect to further increase following more updates and even DLC which always follow new games after launch.

Alongside Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Microsoft also unveils a handful of other AAA titles hitting Xbox Series X|S at launch. Those include Dirt 5, Tetris Effect, and Watch Dogs: Legion. You can read the full report by heading here.

Do you think 60 GB is a fair amount asked for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla?

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla launches on November 10, 2020 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PC, and Stadia; hits PlayStation 5 on November 12, 2020 and November 19, 2020.
