Although the ten-year anniversary for Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World came and went earlier on 2020 this summer, many were somewhat upset that the same-named video game that takes from the titular book series and the 2010 film did not make a resurfacing that many hoped to witness. But despite hurt expectations initially, Ubisoft weeks following the decade anniversary announced to be reiterating on the game for modern systems.

During then’s Ubisoft Forward, the publisher announced Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition. As you might expect, the game will include the base experience beat-em’ up and alongside that will be accompanied by the additional content that was sold separately when originally releasing. The game was framed for a holiday 2020 release.

But now in a new blog post, Ubisoft discloses the game will be missing the 2020 mark, but will arriving around the halfway mark for January in the first month of 2021. So technically, the game is still in the bounds of holiday 2020 to some degree – just not the calendar year associated.

“Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition also includes drop-in, drop-out local or online multiplayer, enabling up to four players to wallop enemies as a team and revive each other when the action gets too frantic. They can also join forces in the co-op Boss Rush and Survival Horror modes, or compete in PvP dodgeball matches, subspace minigames, and battle-royale throwdowns.”

In addition to the listed platforms presented that the time for the game earlier in September, Ubisoft now presses that the game will also be available for the newest Xbox & PlayStation. The firm does not mention if there will be cross-generation buy nor any enhancements on the newer machinery. Regardless, more systems will support the game at launch.
