Ratchet & Clank Gets A Limited-Time Event In Fall Guys Next Week

As we are still very familiar, Fall Guys remains to be unique to PlayStation 4 & PC almost a year following the game’s release. During its initial inception this past August, the title swiftly earned the place of the most downloaded PlayStation Plus title – taking the reigns from the previous top placement for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. But, the game’s exclusivity is not to last long, of course.

Firstly, the game is on the way to Nintendo Switch alongside Xbox One & Xbox Series X|S. But, it is unsure how the firm plans to do so since the promises are being shelved until later this year with the addition of cross-play when they do arrive. Additionally, mobile is also being another project for an exclusive release in China last reported in 2020.

In a new announcement this week, Mediatonic announces to be partnering with Sony Interactive Entertainment & Insomniac Games to deliver a new Ratchet & Clank limited-time event next week from July 26 – August 15. You can watch the reveal trailer in the video below:

“This rift-busting collaboration kicks off our very first set of Limited Time Events – an all new way to tackle Challenges, earn points and unlock unique rewards that’s fresh for Season 5. That means one whole week of Lombax flavoured loot in honour of the iconic Ratchet, plus a stack of robotic wonders on offer with Clank. But you best dive in double-quick because when they’re gone, they’re gone,” the team write on its own blog post.

Rob Jackson, Mediatonic Lead Artist explained the excitement for the event over on PlayStation Blog, “As soon as the possibility of crafting both Ratchet and Clank in bean form came up, the decision was never in doubt; we all wanted to do it! On a personal level as lead artist, Ratchet and Clank are a genuine benchmark. The games they star in show such ambition and the art direction has always left me astounded. As characters, they are instantly recognisable and appealing, so it immediately felt like a great opportunity.”

Also this week, Mediatonic announced the next major Season for Fall Guys and plenty of Indiana Jones motifs came with the new reveal. In that, the firm did originally hint at limited-time events and that being for Ratchet & Clank is truly exciting. You can read the initial report by heading here.
