In terms of the current progression for Apex Legends with Season 10: Emergence last month, the battle royale kicks off with a major milestone according to publisher Electronic Arts. In that, the 2019-released title faced its highest concurrent player count of roughly 13 million. Additionally, the report from Electronic Arts also hints at a global release for Apex Legends on mobile systems by early next year.
As for other future plans, Respawn Entertainment does verify its pursuit to still release a next-generation version of the game for PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series consoles. In that, 120 frames per second is a priority the team confirms. However, not everything is going according to plans unfortunately in another perspective. During previous cyber attacks to servers for Respawn Entertainment, it confirms there is a slight latency on the release for cross-progression planned for Apex Legends.
But in a new discovery from YouTuber garret, the game is expecting to re-release battle pass content to the Apex Store, sort of how Halo Infinite can let you earn items from missed battle passes. However, it appears to clarify this will be for battle pass items following Season 10 according to the updated FAQ for the game. You can watch the video below:
“Can be obtained during the specific event period by Battle Pass owners who reach the required level. These items may return in a future event or promotion (This applies starting with Season 11 and onwards),” the clarification reads in the newly updated FAQ listing for the Battle Pass under the ‘Special Events’ category.
Regarding other additions that could make way to Apex Legends, new game modes for Arenas is not far off either. In that, the team did experiment with a bomb defuse mode, but confirmed it affected the integrity of the experience. However, the studio did tell it will continue to play with new experiences for Apex Legends. You can read the full report by heading here.
