Windjammers 2 Release Date Slated For January 20th

From developer Dotemu, the French-based team continues to aim in delivering legacy franchises with new entries or entirely fresh IPs that grab at the hardware from the respected era. For one, we are certainly excited for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge when the game arrives. The new project is in collaboration with Tribute Games (Panzer Paladin) and is likely to be a well-crafted experience when it launches.

Additionally, Dotemu is also responsible for the upcoming and long-awaited sequel, Windjammers 2. While the original launched back in 1994, the follow-up plans to deliver the same magic as the original while still entertaining standards for the current era of gaming. Previously this summer, Dotemu held an open beta for the game back in August, but little details on the project has opened up since.

In December, Dotemu announced it will be preparing the release date for Windjammers 2 to arrive for January 20th. Windjammers 2 is also confirmed to ship for Xbox Game Pass as well when it arrives. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:

Catch Windjammers 2’s roster of 10 playable athletes in action, a glimpse of the 10 varied courts they’ll be battling to score on,” the description for the game reveals.

Previously, Focus Entertainment announced it will be acquiring Dotemu. The decision is said to not affect the production of ongoing projects, but will birth new ambitions for unannounced AA titles after the honeymoon effect has faded later on. You can read the full report by heading here.
