In the turn of the new console generation, developer Bloober Team reiterated on Observer alongside the timed-exclusive for Xbox Series: The Medium. However, its projects moving forward does draw some attention. For one, the firm did press it will be working with Konami in a new “strategic partnership”, but, the arrangement does only leave fans to speculate what could be on the way.

Additionally, leadership at Bloober Team did go on to press its projects moving forward will be more ambitious than before. Unfortunately the Polish developer does not press if the unannounced project involved Konami or not. Later on the team teased one new project will be returning to the Layers of Fear IP once more aiming to release in 2022.

At Summer Game Fest, Bloober Team officially unveils Layers of Fears. The new entry is confirmed for next-generation machines and is slated to launch in early 2023. You can watch the full reveal trailer in the video below:

“We are bringing back a franchise that is really special for us, in a new form that will give players a truly fresh gaming experience and that will shed new light on the overall story. Our plan was to recreate the games, but we didn’t want to make it a simple collection of two remastered games, says Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno. “We’ve worked out a new approach, something that is maybe not yet obvious. But I can tell you there’s a reason why we called it Layers of Fear’s’”.

According to recent rumors regarding Konami, it is suggested that Bloober Team is occupied with a complete remake for Silent Hill 2. However, Konami nor Bloober Team has yet to address the indications made online leaving the speculation to be conjecture. You can read the full reveal by heading here.
