Portal To Receive Free RTX Update This November

When the joke surfaces from time to time that Valve “can’t count to three” we laugh, but we also cry inside. The fact there has not been much in terms of the firm’s belove IPs being revisited is a crime. That changed when Valve shipped Half-Life: Alyx for the Valve Index VR headset. But, the momentum continued. With the release of the Steam Deck, a demo titled ‘Aperture Desk Job’ which revisits the Portal universe.

Even more, the game also resurfaced on Nintendo Switch after years of outcry for a port. Back in February, Valve announced Portal: Companion Collection which included both Portal 1 & Portal 2 in one bundle. It was not until later this summer that Portal: Companion Collection officially hit the Nintendo eShop and with it brought the end for hype surrounding Portal.

Well, at the recent Nvidia showcase this week it was revealed the original 2007 games is to receive an RTX update for free. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

Portal with RTX is compatible with all ray-tracing capable GPUs.”
