Minecraft New Trails & Tales Update Ships On June 7th

So far, 2023 has offered some enticing new things for all things Minecraft. Earlier this year, it was revealed that Minecraft in a new collaboration with Crocs would offer new themed footwear alongside designed Jibbitz as well. The game features the same clogs in-game to wear as well. Mojang Studios this past April also rolled out Minecraft Legends pressing the series into an all new genre in the spring.

Looking ahead, Mojang Studios is preparing another major project for its prized IP. In one finding through trademarking firm Justia, the developer receding filed a trademark for ‘Ender Dragon’ in the U.S.. Details on what the trademark entails is left for conjecture currently. Additionally, a new update under the alias ‘Trails & Tales’ is also on the way for Minecraft.

During its recent Minecraft Monthly, Mojang Studios shared plans for The Trails & Tales Update is paved to hit the game on June 7th this week. You can watch the video below:

“The Trails & Tales Update brings you a new biome, more mobs and blocks, and a veritable library of ways to shape your Minecraft story. Whether or not you prefer an epic adventure or a detailed musing, the features of Minecraft 1.20 can be used to tell a tale of any size, shape – or grain!” the blog post reads. “You can now craft and build with two new full wood sets – bamboo and cherry! Bamboo wood sets include a raft, that you can craft with or without a chest. The cherry grove is a biome that is as rare as it is pink and pretty.”

Other findings recently regarding Minecraft once again points towards a potential raytracing update for the base game. Twitter users online discovered that the latest technical preview hides elements for the feature in its code. You can read the full report by heading here.
