DICE has revealed the official trailer for Battlefield 1, and it is set in World War 1. It will feature trench warfare, horse battles and Zepelin blimps!. It marks the first game in the series set in World War 1, and got its name as it was the first war to mark the beginning of the era of modern warfare. The game will be available worldwide on October 21st, with EA Access members on Xbox One able to play 5 days early. (Suck it PS4 fans. #sorrynotsorry). Pre-ordering the game gets you early access to the beta, although DICE did not clarify when that would be.
The studio provided meaningful weapon choices including melee weapons. There are shovels, maces as well as the trench battle tool. They will all have different speed and attack levels suitable for different gameplay styles. We’ll have more info for you as it becomes available. Vehicles will be the core of their gameplay, as essential as Battlefield. There will be boats, battleships, horses, bumper planes and all kinds of tanks as well.
What do you think about the new World War 1 setting, let us know!
