Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer made an announcement on Twitter saying Microsoft has come to an agreement to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation following the acquisition of Activision Blizzard. This was expected since Microsoft has stated before they’ve wanted to keep Call of Duty on all platforms.

Right now it’s hard to tell if this would be a ten year agreement like the partnership Microsoft signed with Nintendo to put Call of Duty on their platform. From the start of this acquisition process it shouldn’t be shocking for this to happen since Minecraft, owned by Microsoft is available virtually on any platform you can think of. The CMA was worried it would impact competition when this first happened.

Microsoft was approved of the Activision Blizzard acquisition when the FTC was denied in their case to block the deal. We could expect the deal to close any day now, but the world is looking at the U.K.
