In the pipeline of PlayStation Production releases, 2023 has been an active year to say the least. Expectations were shattered with HBO’s The Last of Us when it arrived back in January. Additionally, Peacock also rolled out its own Twisted Metal series just last month in July. And after an abrupt delay by Sony Pictures, Gran Turismo officially hit the silver screen just over a week ago too.
Looking ahead, other projects are moving at PlayStation Production. Both Netflix & Amazon Prime are still piecing together Horizon Zero Dawn and God of War shows respectively. Ghost of Tsushima is also being adapted into a movie as well. Not to mention a separate report confirming Days Gone could be finding its own film as well.
Now from eagle-eyed fans online, it was discovered that there is another, unannounced project in the works potentially. In the trailer of the PlayStation Productions, X user @realradec discovered what appears to be Sir Daniel Fortesque pointing at his feet.
This is not the first fans pieced together similar conclusions with the evidence given. In the past during the leaving for Reggie Fils-Aime at Nintendo of America, an image appeared to reveal a character unknown to the fans – suggesting a new IP is in the works. Pertaining to MediEvil, the series has been on ice since the remake for the first game in 2019. The composer did suggest there is room to expect a second remake down the road, but nothing has showed to be underway for such.
Previously, there was ongoing hope that Medievil is being adapted into some form of transmedia. That alongside Monkey Island and ToeJam & Earl, Final Space writer Ben Mekler shared he’s interested to be attached to any of those projects if to manifest. So far, ToeJam & Earl is getting a movie at Amazon, but without Mekler involved. You can read the initial report by heading here.
Are you hoping MediEvil gets at show or film adaptation?
