Nintendo is planning to host a Super Mario Bros. Wonder Direct on Thursday, August 31 that will roughly be 15 minutes long. According to a new leak from Dealabs, Nintendo is going to surprise fans by selling a brand new special edition for the Switch OLED console.
The known leaker billbil-kun says the name of this console will be the Nintendo Switch OLED Model – Mario Red Edition. As for the design of the console, there will only be a change of color and no Super Mario themed design like we’ve seen with other special editions. The new model is most likely going to have red-colored Joy-Cons and a docking station.
The price of this Nintendo Switch OLED Model will reportedly be $349.99 similar to the regular OLED console. Dealabs also says the console will be released before October and it’s a great possibility the new console model will be announced during the direct.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder releases on October 20, 2023 and there will be a new voice actor for Mario & Luigi as Charles Martinet stepped down.
