Ubisoft San Francisco announced in early September that XDefiant’s release date would be slightly delayed due to the submission process. On Monday, October 9, 2023, the development team on Ubisoft’s upcoming first-person shooter announced the game will be delayed further.

Recently they held a Public Test Session for XDefiant and it showed the team some inconsistencies in the game experience that will need to be addressed. Therefore they have delayed the Preseason for XDefiant pushing the date further most likely avoiding the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III.

The statement thanked fans for their support as they work hard making this game the best it can be.

“The team will continue working to address these issues and testing them to make sure we deliver on our goal of being a best-in-class arcade shooter. We will share more information about Preseason and testing as it comes”

Initially, there were reports of Ubisoft San Francisco’s game releasing on October 28, 2023, but that turned out to be false.
