The Minecraft movie starring Jason Momoa, who has recently been known for his roles in Aquaman and Dune will begin production soon. According to Deadline, the video game adaptation will begin production at the end of December in New Zealand.

Although the production of this movie will begin at the end of 2023, the Minecraft movie is expected to hit theaters on April 4, 2025. Thanks to DiscussingFilm on X for sharing this information.

The Napoleon Dynamite director Jared Hess is expected to lead this film. In case you didn’t know, this will be a live-action adaptation of Minecraft by Mojang Studios and will feature Roy Lee (The Lego Batman Movie, Godzilla vs Kong), Jill Sobel Messick (Mean Girls, Baby Mama), and Mary Parent (Pacific Rim, Dune) to produce.
