Helldivers 2 is no longer purchasable in 177 countries

Helldivers 2 has been one of the biggest games to release this year because it is a well-received video game. Recently, a decision was made to make Helldivers players on PC link a PSN account to play the co-op shooter as of May 6, 2024. After the announcement, thousands of players expressed their dissatisfaction by leaving negative reviews on Steam.

Steam now offers refunds for Helldivers 2 even if you played for over two hours. Now, Helldivers 2 is no longer purchasable across 177 countries where PSN is not available. You can see the post by SteamDB on X below:

Since February, there was no need to link a PSN account when playing Helldivers on Steam, which likely frustrated players. The good news for Arrowhead Studios and Sony is that the player count on Steam remains high despite the trending negativity toward one decision. You can only play Helldivers on PC via Steam or PlayStation 5, you cannot find this game on Xbox Series X|S or Nintendo Switch.
