Developer Sucker Punch Productions, one of the many talented PlayStation game studios, remains quietly busy on new projects. Currently, it is established that a new release is coming later this month. Recently, it was revealed that the game studio is working on a PC version for Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut. Of course, this is part of the growing support push for the platform.
Additionally, Sucker Punch Productions is also occupied with the production of the upcoming Ghost of Tsushima film. It is confirmed that John Wick director Chad Stahelski will also be behind the camera for the new PlayStation movie. What’s more, Stahelski in one statement said the plan is to include an all-Japanese cast for the film which did excite many fans.
However, with a roster of other IPs behind it, there are fans hoping more is on the way. And well, that is not the case for Sucker Punch Productions. From notorious insider Jason Schreier, claims of the game studio tackling multiple projects including Sly Cooper is simply untrue.
Schreier went on to elaborate that plenty of the wait time since the last major release from Sucker Punch Productions is to blame on the necessary time to work on games now. He did acknowledge “Ghost of Tsushima 2” in the post, but did not directly confirm the game is what the developer is occupied with currently. But, that Sucker Punch Productions does not juggle multiple projects.
Elsewhere previously, it was understood that Sucker Punch Productions has moved on from Infamous entirely. Prior, the domain for the series was renewed years ago. However, the team even addressed that work on that IP as well as Sly Cooper is not being considered for new games either. You can read the full report by heading here.
Are you shocked that Sucker Punch Productions is not working on older properties?
