Over the past couple of years, even Square Enix’s extended push of AAA releases for its most popular franchises are becoming multi-million dollar losses for the Japanese publisher. In the newest statement from the firm, it is now pursuing a multiplatform strategy for its new titles unlike its ongoing effort releasing exclusively on PlayStation.

One IP that is prepared to move forward is Kingdom Hearts. Ever since the series announced Kingdom Hearts 4, many fans are eager to see what the firm is planning. One new detail is that the game is expected to ship in 2025, one leaker noted. Additionally, reports online also point towards a new animated film is underway for the Disney/Square Enix franchise as well.

Amid new announcements for new titles, Square Enix announces that Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMix, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind DLC are all coming to Steam next month. In total, there are eight games being added in June from this announcement. You can read the full list below:

Already, the games are available on PC – via Epic Games Store. But now with the push to Steam, even more players are anticipated to jump to the beloved series.
