To many Nintendo Switch owners, one of the most anticipated projects to still yet arrive is Metroid Prime 4. Announced back at E3 2017, it was easily one of the most energetic reveals then. However, the wait ended up trumping any anticipation for the release. Now in 2024, the game has still yet to release. Last year, the game was still listed as TBA for the project’s official release date.

What’s more, a separate update that came a few months ago indicated that has finally changed. In fact, the game was then set prepared to launch sometime in 2025, it’s reported. The patience fans obtained awaiting for the new project has been a tough journey to endure for almost a decade. Especially learning the game was reset internally sometime in 2019.
At the Nintendo Direct this week, Nintendo officially revealed a new trailer for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond with a release window aimed for 2025. You can watch the gameplay trailer in the video below:
“Samas Aran is back!” the YouTube trailer description reads for the game. In a press release from Nintendo, it adds, “The galaxy’s greatest bounty hunter Samus Aran will embark on a new mission.” However, details remain fairly light on what this new game will exactly pursue for the greater plot or the added features to the new flagship title.
From the provided time frame for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, it is understood the game could launch alongside the Nintendo Switch successor. Whatever the new hardware will be, it is reported to launch sometime the same year as the new Metroid game. You can read the full report by heading here.
