Summary

7.5/10

Swan Song is a beautiful reminder that puzzle games do not need pressure or spectacle to leave a lasting impact. Its inventive music based mechanics, relaxing pace, and touching story come together to create an experience that is both intellectually satisfying and emotionally moving. While its slow pacing and familiar structure may not appeal to everyone, those willing to embrace its quiet rhythm will discover one of the year's most memorable indie puzzlers.

Can a puzzle game make you stop thinking about solutions long enough to simply feel something? Swan Song quietly asks that question from its opening moments, and by the time its final melody fades, it has earned the right to ask it. Blending clever grid based puzzles with a heartfelt story about family, loss, and grief, Swan Song creates an experience that is as soothing as it is emotionally resonant. It may not reinvent the puzzle genre, but its unique musical mechanics and understated storytelling make it difficult to forget.
