Ubisoft is releasing Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition on Tuesday, June 25, and when they made this announcement new details of what the remaster will feature came out. The official website for the game reveals that it will have upgraded performances and will have a narrative link to Beyond Good & Evil 2 in one of its missions.
When looking at the different features of Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition there is a section titled “One the Hunt For Treasure” and that’s where it says to learn more about Jade’s childhood and her link to Beyond Good & Evil 2 thanks to a new treasure hunt throughout Hillys.
Beyond Good & Evil 2 Is Progressing Well
The positive side of this news is that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is progressing in development and in 2020, Ubisoft stated the game is “Progressing Well”. It has been 7 years since Ubisoft released a trailer for Beyond Good and Evil 2 and since then they’ve been pretty quiet from showing it off or giving fans hope as to when they can expect it to come out.
If Ubisoft is going to put a narrative link in its upcoming remaster then that should give us some hope about the sequel getting closer.
