Now that it’s Summer time there are more people playing games across all consoles than all companies are used to compared to the rest of the year. Earlier today, Xbox Live went down around 2 PM ET restricting players from logging onto Xbox to play their games. The problem was eventually resolved in the evening, but either way, fans were not happy about it being down temporarily.
Users should no longer be encountering issues signing in to Xbox Live and services. Thank you for your patience, game on! https://t.co/jw7EOmyyoL

Here is how some fans were reacting on X (Twitter):
I stopped work at 6, it's now 9:34. I still can't play when I've paid for the service, crazy.

The good news is that Microsoft resolved the issue that caused the downtime for Xbox Live. They did not specify what caused the issues, but now Xbox players should have no problem logging on and playing their games.
