Release Date For Fantasian Neo Dimension Slated For December 2024

In a surprise announcement from Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi back in June, himself in collaboration with Square Enix & composer Nobuo Uematsu announced Fantasian Neo Dimension. Originally a release on Apple Arcade in 2021, the new project offers an extension of the same universe for modern consoles & PC.

At the PlayStation State of Play showcase on Tuesday, Square Enix announced Fantasian Neo Dimension is prepared to launch this December for all major platforms. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:

“The story focuses on Leo – a young man who wakes up in a strange land following a massive explosion. Even more distressingly, his memories almost entirely gone – just one remains. Guided by this last remaining shred of his past, Leo sets out on a journey to reclaim what he has lost and unravel the mysteries of a bizarre mechanical infection that corrupts all it touches.

“Along the way, he’ll recruit a quirky and memorable group of allies, and explore stunningly detailed environments based on physical hand-crafted dioramas. You’ll also take on foes in thrillingly tactical turn-based battles,” Square Enix in the press release reveals for the game’s story overview.

“By taking advantage of the trajectory of attacks as well as physical and elemental weaknesses, you can take out multiple enemies at once. Paired with the handy Dimengeon System which stores away previously encountered enemies to battle at a later time, the game’s combat system results in large-scale battles that feel oh-so satisfying to complete!”
