THQ Nordic teases new SpongeBob SquarePants game releasing in 2025

A new SpongeBob SquarePants game is in development and is planned to be released in 2025 by THQ Nordic, the company teased. The announcement comes in a new “SpongeBob SquarePants Halloween Gaming” trailer released on Halloween.

The trailer features both SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated and SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake. At the conclusion of the trailer, there is a tease for a new game as it says “An All-New Adventure Awaits” with the release window being in 2025.

The teaser also features The Flying Dutchman meaning this could be a slightly more spooky SpongeBob video game compared to the last ones. The image also shows SpongeBob and Patrick turning into Ghosts.
