If there’s one gaming franchise that has consistently delivered year after year, it’s Just Dance. Every year, Ubisoft releases a new installment in the series, so you know what to expect. Additionally, there’s often a surprise selection of songs included in the game.
Just Dance 2025 was released with 40 new songs, including Poker Face by Lady Gaga, Yes, and? by Ariana Grande, Basket Case by Green Day, and a lot more to choose from. There are also a couple of different difficulties to choose from catering to beginners to the more seasoned dancers.
Usually, when you think of Just Dance games you think there are only your typical pop songs that are the most popular over the last year. That is not true as there are some original songs and there’s Disney music to dance to including “You Got A Friend In Me” from Toy Story or “Let It Go” from Frozen.
A couple of other neat features that are in Just Dance 2025 is the Workout mode for those who are fitness enthusiasts. While dancing is a good exercise, the Workout mode will help you track calories burnt and your time dancing. The other feature is that all players from Just Dance 2023 up until this game are all connected to the same platform.

Gameplay Is Groovy
Of course, the gameplay of Just Dance 2025 is groovy. No matter what song you dance to, there is always something new you run into. This game is perfectly designed for the Nintendo Switch, and that’s due to the joy-cons making a perfect fit for the game and console. It’s easy to follow along on your screen on which moves to perform while holding the joy-con.
Another great option that allows for more players is connecting your phone to Just Dance. It’s hard to criticize the gameplay for Just Dance 2025 as it remains like we remember it and if anything Ubisoft improved it.
There is definitely a grind to level up in Just Dance 2025 as you’ll earn XP depending on how you perform. Players aim to earn five-star ratings like in any rhythm game.
One aspect I did not enjoy about this game is the user interface. I found that it takes a while to load and does not perform very well. If there is room for improvement, this would be one of the key areas to address.

Great Family Game
Just Dance 2025 Edition features a variety of music for everyone to enjoy. It’s not solely focused on one particular artist or genre and I think that’s one of the most important aspects of games like this.
This is the perfect family game for the Nintendo Switch and there is no better time to play than this holiday season.
Overall, Just Dance 2025 Edition meets expectations. While it doesn’t offer anything particularly groundbreaking, it’s a fun party game that will also get you sweating if you’re looking for a good workout.
