Nintendo Switch 2 Direct to take place in April

Since the Nintendo Switch 2 was revealed there has been a lot of reaction about the trailer and how it could feel underwhelming. It showcased just the hardware, as expected, and a tease for Mario Kart 9. It was rumored prior that a presentation solely focused on software would happen later on and that turned out to be true.

The official Nintendo Switch 2 Direct will be taking place on April 2, 2025. Nintendo did not confirm what will be shown, but we should expect a presentation of what the Switch 2 is all about and which games will be coming its way.

A time has not been revealed yet for the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct.

In other news, the Switch 2 will be compatible with Switch 1 games, but not all games will be playable on the next-generation console. Other rumors indicated that Microsoft will play a big part in supporting the new console with Halo: The Master Chief Collection coming to it this year.
