NetEase Games and Bad Guitar Studio have officially released FragPunk on PC after its initial reveal last Summer. The game was planned to be released on PlayStation and Xbox today, but the studio announced the console launch has been delayed.
Two days before the release date, Bad Guitar Studio put out a statement on X (Twitter) that FragPunk for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S was delayed. This was due to unexpected technical challenges in optimization and adaptation.
The developer chose to delay the console release to ensure players have a comparable experience to the PC version, rather than rushing it and potentially offering a poor experience.

Further on the delay, FragPunk console players will be provided all rewards gained via engagement, starting from the debut of Season 1 until the console version is released. That includes in-game currencies, cosmetics, experience, and more.
Those who pre-ordered FragPunk on Xbox or PlayStation will have it canceled and a refund process will automatically be processed.
What is FragPunk?
FragPunk is a 5v5 hero shooter that’s all about letting players use the power of Shard Cards to break the game’s rules. These unique cards let you change everything and anything about the match, including using powerful attacks and debuffs against your foes. You’ll also have your Lancer hero powers and a wide selection of weapons to call on, ensuring no two FragPunk battles are ever alike.
