For Nintendo, the firm has major plans set for 2025 with the Nintendo Switch 2 coming later this year. Back in January, it announced that a separate Nintendo Direct would be held focusing on the new hardware. Since then, new details have emerged on what to expect for the new console. A patent filed by Nintendo confirmed speculation on mouse-like features for the system.
Additionally, one report indicates a June launch for the hardware. Other speculation online also included a potential $400 price tag for the Nintendo Switch 2. From a more credible avenue, Best Buy appeared to leak information prematurely. The retailer disclosed pre-orders are to go live April 2nd – likely after the presentation this week.
In a new development from Nintendo, the firm has now revealed that there will be a new Nintendo Treehouse: Live this week as well. Alongside live demos for those that signed-up earlier this year, the presentation will be held for two days showcasing gameplay of running on the Nintendo Switch 2.
“Join us on April 3rd and April 4th at 7 a.m. PT each day for a Nintendo Treehouse: Live | Nintendo Switch 2 presentation featuring hands-on gameplay of #NintendoSwitch2 games!” Nintendo wrote in the post. It also confirmed that the runtime for the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct on April 2 will be an hour in length in a separate direct.
This is not the only major launch coming this year. Nintendo announced recently that it will be opening a second flagship store in San Francisco, California this spring. The location will officially open its doors on May 25th. You can read the full report by heading here.
