Earlier today, Square Enix announced that Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link has been cancelled. The game was aimed to be a mobile-only title that had a few closed beta tests. Along with that, Square Enix reiterated to fans they are still hard at work on Kingdom Hearts IV, revealing new screenshots of Sora, Mickey, and more.
In the official post on X (Twitter), Square Enix said the following: “We’re currently working hard on Kingdom Hearts IV and will continue pouring ourselves into the game’s development. We’re dedicated to making this an experience that lives up to your expectations.”
“We’ve seen how excited you are, and we are truly grateful from the bottom of our hearts. We are equally excited and can’t wait to share more about Kingdom Hearts IV when the time is right. Until then, we appreciate your patience.”
A release date and platform release has not been shared yet for Kingdom Hearts 4.
The UI from the initial reveal of Kingdom Hearts IV in 2022 has also seen a slight update. Below are a few screenshots of what Square Enix shared so far (Thanks Gematsu):
