new virtua fighter project

During Championship Sunday at EVO 2025, SEGA and RGG Studios made an appearance with the New Virtua Fighter Project. They showcased a new Combat Gameplay First Look taking place on the Training Stage. It’s the first time we not only see how well the character design looks, but also the style of combat.

At Tokyo Game Show 2025, SEGA will share more information, such as an official title, platforms, and a release date for the new Virtua Fighter project. Tokyo Game Show takes place from September 25 to 28 in Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.

In related news, developer RGG Studios and SEGA announced that Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O World Stage will be coming to Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PC this October.

EVO 2026 dates were also announced on the final day at EVO 2025, and the Las Vegas event is happening a lot earlier this year. Could we see the new Virtua Fighter Project there?
