Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage Arriving This October For Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC

Developer RGG Studio has and continues to remain a powerhouse under the Sega umbrella. Most notable for conjuring the Like a Dragon franchise alongside Super Monkey Ball, more IPs are continuing to churn out from the Japanese developer. Earlier in June, it properly showcased the next franchise – Stranger Than Heaven at Summer Game Fest. As for release plans, the game studio has a full plate of releases this year.

Previously this past winter, RGG Studio shipped Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. However, there is more than just one entree. At this past Nintendo Partner Direct, both Yakuza Kiwami & Yakuza Kiwami 2 will ship on the Nintendo Switch 2 this November. Of course, it does not end there from the team.

In a new announcement on Friday, Sega & RGG Studio announced Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage is releasing later this October. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:

From a few different posts on X, the developer elaborated on additional information on the game. For one, those that purchased the game on PlayStation 4 previously will be issued a 50% off discount costing only $9.99. DLC purchased on PlayStation 4 are to also be honored when transitioning to PlayStation 5. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is also said to come at a later time in 2026.

Additionally, RGG Studio is to also host a closed beta for Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage later this September. “A closed beta test for cross-play network will be held. Anyone can join for free during the test, participate to earn an in-game title!” Pre-ordering Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage on console will reward users with the Sega Genesis customization item.
