Sonic The Hedgehog Gets Featured Items For Rocket League’s Newest Season This Week

When exploring the depths of what Sonic the Hedgehog has to offer this year, fans are excited for the very soon release of Sonic Racing CrossWorlds. After hosting its open beta recently, fans already have their sights fixed on the game’s arrival in late September. The release is to be followed by a strong post-launch campaign offered by Sega.

Additionally, Sonic the Hedgehog has been featured in other mediums too. In 2025, the character was featured in a five-issue series where his universe & DC Comics band together to fight off New God, Darkseid. On another spectrum, Sonic the Hedgehog even was featured in Magic the Gathering. Via Secret Lair, the character and his cast of proteges were adapted into collectable cards.

Now this week, Sonic the Hedgehog again is featured in a franchise outside of his own. For the arrival of Season 20 in Rocket League, the Blue Blur received his own suite of in-game items for players to dress in. You can read the full list below:

“A certain chili dog loving speedster is runnin’ fast in the Rocket Pass, with rewards including the Sonic Sidescroller Player Banner and Sonic Looper Wheels! Look out for even more Sonic the Hedgehog later in Season 20 — this’ll be here before you know it,” Psyonix writes in the Season 20 blog post on Sonic the Hedgehog’s feature in-game.

Of course, this is not the first major collaboration that Rocket League has done with other franchises. Last year, it was reported that Avatar: The Last Airbender would be receiving featured items in Rocket League as well as Fortnite. You can read the full report by heading here.
