One of the biggest releases this year came from developer Bloober Team. The Polish game studio earlier in September launched Cronos: A New Dawn. The game follows the same trait as prior Bloober Team horror releases with evident inspiration from titles like Dead Space. The team just the year prior came off its partnership with Konami shipping Silent Hill 2. The remake’s commercial success has greenlit another arrangement with the publisher as well.
It was not until this past June where Konami & Bloober Team revealed the plans for its next collaboration. 1999’s Silent Hill will be remade in similar fashion to the last partnership both firms worked on together. Additionally, new details also points to Silent Hill 2 on more platforms. Both Xbox as well as Nintendo Switch 2 are expected for imminent ports according to one claim.
Now with the fall season in full swing, Bloober Team has issued an update on some of its major releases on the way. In one reveal from the press release, it is disclosed that Layers of Fear is to ship on Nintendo Switch 2. Layers of Fear: The Final Masterpiece Edition with a 2025 release scheduled. Its strategic partnership with Broken Mirror Games also sheds new titles on the way.
The already announced I Hate This Place is releasing next year on January 29th after a new delay was issued for the game. Bloober Team also reveals other internal titles like Project F is to be revealed in 2026. Project M, a Nintendo Switch exclusive release, is also due to arrive next year too. VR title Star Trek: Infection, formerly Project I, is slated to ship December 11th this holiday.
“Our overarching goal is to strengthen Bloober Team’s position in the premium horror game segment and to consistently implement our long-term development strategy through diverse projects – both our own and co-created within the Broken Mirror Games brand. Each of the upcoming titles offers a unique dimension of excitement and experience that defines our studio’s DNA,” president Piotr Babieno offers in a statement.
