On Friday, Halo Studios made the big announcement that the franchise will be coming to PlayStation for the first time with Halo: Campaign Evolved. It will also be coming to Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2026, allowing for more players to dive into this next era of Halo in Unreal Engine 5.
Halo Studios Community Director, Brian Jarrard, made it clear that Halo is going to be on PlayStation going forward, and it starts with Halo: Campaign Evolved.
Here is the quote he provided after the announcement (Thanks Gematsu):
“It’s a huge deal, it’s a long time coming. We’re just super excited to be able to welcome even more players now to the franchise we loved, to fall in love with Halo the same way that we all did 24 years ago. Halo is on PlayStation going forward, starting with Halo: Campaign Evolved“.
It has been rumored already that Halo Studios has two other projects in development that would be the next mainline Halo and a multiplayer-only project that could be co-developed with Certain Affinity. There has been no confirmation, but part of that leak included this Halo: Combat Evolved Remake.
What do you think about Halo being on PlayStation?
