The ongoing lineage of Marvel titles in recent time has become a welcomed trend in the industry. Just this past winter, Marvel & Arkane Lyon announced Marvel’s Blade. As gathered from the title, it will be a new experience following the vampire slayer. And, later this month Twisted Voxel is shipping Marvel’s Deadpool VR on Meta Quest 3 devices.
As for other anticipated projects, there is a new release on the way from Insomniac Games. Announced all the way back in 2021, Marvel’s Wolverine will be the first title outside of Spider-Man from the PlayStation developer. It was just this past summer that Insomniac Games addressed the title is still in development and aims to ship in fall 2026 next year.
As for what could also be on the horizon is still left to conjecture. However, what can be confirmed is that Marvel Games will not step away from this partnership with PlayStation & Insomniac Games after the next title launches. Speaking to Game Informer, Marvel Games general manager Haluk Mentes expressed that the relationship is to extend year ahead.
“We have been working together for more than a decade and developed such a shorthand across multiple Marvel’s Spider-Man games that when the time finally came to bring Logan back in spectacular and visceral fashion, it was obvious to everyone on our team that Insomniac was the perfect choice,” Mentes said. “It was our shared culture and values that brought us together, and we’re so proud to continue collaborating for many years to come.”
As for other Marvel titles on the way, there was an upsetting update on one particular title. Recently, Skydance announced that the upcoming Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is to be delayed. This time, there is not concrete release date for the project. You can read the full report by heading here.
