It’s that time of the week once again, and @Brav has released a new update on new updates and a small teaser the Halo Forge community definitely needs to keep their eyes open for.  To start it off, we were teased that a few weeks from now, we should expecting new content that has been play tested for Halo 5 each day, and some of it is more likely to be the Windows 10 version of Halo 5’s Forge Mode and Custom games.  Also, the teams at 343 are also preparing to get ready and set up for upcoming celebrations taking place at Gamescom and Pax Prime.
Gamescom 2016
From this year’s annual gaming convention in Europe, attendees should be expecting that Halo Wars 2 will be playable on the Gamescom show floor on Xbox One and Windows 10. Â Not only that, but there will also be “never-before-seen” goodness there at the show floor, and everything will be kept posted for those who won’t be able to attend the event this year.
Triple Team
Recently today, a new gametype in Halo 5’s social playlist, Triple Team, just went live into matchmaking where three teams of three will compete against each other on Arena maps, and from results of previous play tests, the flow of the gameplay should allow enough space, movement, and spawn points for all players compared to having four teams of three.
Also, ranked doubles has now been removed from the playlist, and as mentioned previously, there is still more going on behind the scenes of the social hub, which will consist of social objective offerings and new playlists.
Forge Findings
As teased earlier, The Forge team is back with a new glimpse of what to expect from Forge as shown in the screenshot below.
Canon Fodder
From what both tabletop and Halo fans can expect this weekend this year’s Gen Con 2016 located in Indianapolis at the Spartan Game booth, (#2756) and TheWarStore.com booth (#2407) of two new tabletop games Halo: Fleet Battles and Halo: Ground Command.
In detail, here is what one of 343 Industries writers Kenneth Peters has to say about this.
“For the initial wave of releases we focused on a curated selection of units that were both iconic and had a tactical role that would work well on the tabletop. The units in the two-player starter box should be immediately recognizable to anyone that has played Halo: Reach, though the tabletop game allows us to explore interesting facets of the UNSC and Covenant military which are not easy to show in books or video games. In this game we’re heavily leaning towards the mass battles that you traditionally only see in the skybox or are described in the novels – conflicts at the regimental and legion scale were always our target.”
– Kenneth Peters, Franchise Writer, 343 Industries Â
That is all for now, and we will be getting more details on what will be in the horizons for Halo 5, Forge on Windows 10, Halo Wars 2, and quite a lot to hear about in the coming weeks, so stay tune, and we’ll keep you posted on what 343 industries will have in store for us.
