The range that Vampire Survivors has established in recent time has continued to consume more & more players. Features for the game such as the previous co-op update for the game is another reason to keep playing. Another is the following PlayStation release as well as the Contra expansion that shipped for the title too.
On the topic of Konami IPs, developer Poncle even arranged a separate Castlevania DLC for Vampire Survivors that following Halloween. And while there is still more content that rolled out for the game, others have been influenced to make their own experiences. Such as Bath Robe’s Spartan Survivors – a fan-man, Microsoft-approved title available for free on Steam right now.
And while the base version of Vampire Survivors is already very accessible, Poncle launched a dedicated virtual reality version of the game for Meta Quest 3 today. You can watch the launch trailer in the video below:
“The survive-as-long-as-you-can-before-death-comes-for-us-all has been carefully translated into VR, giving you a top down view of the action surrounded by fully realised VR environments. Use your controllers to dodge, gather pick-ups, and face the hordes up close,” Poncle explains the premise in the FAQ. “Vampire Survivors VR is a standalone version, so it isn’t linked to other platforms or purchases.”
However, Poncle does elaborate that progress in the original version of Vampire Survivors is separate from the new VR release. “Progress and unlocks in Vampire Survivors VR are separate from versions on other platforms – Each one has its own save data, so your virtual adventures stay contained to that version.” But, expansions Legacy of the Moonspell & Tides of the Foscari are playable.
