According to Nintendo, the Hulu App on Nintendo Switch is being shut down.
On the official Nintendo of America Support page in App Support, Nintendo has announced that the Hulu app, available on the Switch, Switch Lite, and OLED Model Switch, will be discontinued on February 5, 2026.
“The Hulu app is no longer available in the Nintendo Switch eShop with support for the application ending on February 5, 2026.”
The Nintendo Switch hasn’t gotten the type of media support like other consoles. The console only received Hulu, YouTube, Crunchyroll, and then Twitch in 2021, but was eventually discontinued. The only apps that are staying alive on the Switch right now are YouTube and Crunchyroll.
For the Switch 2, YouTube does not have support for it yet, and neither does Hulu. Disney has been making changes to its streaming platform lately by combining Hulu with Disney+, so it’s possible we could get a different app on the Switch.
