Developer Quantic Dream has announced another new milestone for Detroit: Become Human. The game has now sold over 15 million copies worldwide across PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
Detroit: Become Human immerses players in a near-future world where technology has advanced to the point that human-like androids are ubiquitous. They speak, move, and behave like human beings – yet remain machines designed to serve. Until they become self-aware and begin to challenge the very nature of their existence.
“More than seven years after its release, Detroit: Become Human continues to resonate with audiences, bringing always more players together around the world,” said David Cage, President and Writer/Director at Quantic Dream. “What began as a reflection on choice, empathy, and humanity has become a shared journey for tens of millions of players. This milestone belongs to the community that believed in its story and carried it forward, and everyone at the studio is deeply grateful for their continued support.
While Detroit: Become Human is a highly successful title on PS4, Quantic Dream and Sony Interactive Entertainment have not shared any plans for an upgrade for PS5.
