Capcom is no question all in on Resident Evil with Resident Evil Requiem coming out in February. We are also seeing Resident Evil Village and Biohazard make their way to the Switch 2. According to insider NateTheHate2, another game in the series is being remade.
Nate has reported that Resident Evil: Code Veronica is being remade and is in deep development already. He claims the target release for the game is the first half of 2027.
This was posted in response on X (Twitter) when a fan congratulated him on being considered the leaker of the year in 2025.
Resident Evil Code: Veronica was released in February 2000 for PlayStation 2, Dreamcast, and Nintendo GameCube, and was later released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. When it was released, it was the first game in the franchise to debut on a platform other than PlayStation.
Code: Veronica takes place three months after the events of Resident Evil 2 and the concurrent destruction of Raccoon City as seen in Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.
