Resident Evil Biohazard, Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil Requiem Launches For Nintendo Switch 2 In February 2026

After nearly a handful of years, the next mainline Resident Evil title is set to release. Previously, players were faced with Resident Evil 4 – a remake of the hallmark 2005 release. It went on to be nominated for Game of the Year then. But earlier this summer, Capcom officially unveiled Resident Evil Requiem – the ninth flagship release for the series.

Since then, new information has rolled out for Resident Evil Requiem. It was revealed that the new entry is scheduled to release later in February 2026 for most major platforms like Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. However, reports point to more platforms. It was indicated that both PlayStation 4 & Nintendo Switch 2 are also on the itinerary for Resident Evil Requiem’s release as well.

From the recent Nintendo Direct this week, Capcom reveals that Resident Evil Requiem is launching day & date for Nintendo Switch 2. That’s not all as both Resident Evil Biohazard & Resident Evil Village are also shipping the same day too. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

“Set approximately 30 years after the outbreak in Raccoon City, Resident Evil Requiem follows Grace on a new case where the young FBI analyst must escape from the horrors surrounding her and face the tragic memories from the death of her mother, Alyssa Ashcroft,” the press release synopsis for Resident Evil Requiem reads.

“The latest trailer for Resident Evil Requiem can be found here. On February 27, 2026, Resident Evil 7 biohazard Gold Edition will also release on Nintendo Switch 2, including the full game, the “Not a Hero” chapter, and all additional DLC. Resident Evil Village Gold Edition will also be available featuring the Winters’ Expansion and the Trauma Pack.”
