Protecting your video game gear is essential these days, and for the Meta Quest 3, it might be even more vital since it’s an active system. You could argue that Virtual Reality headsets are among the most vulnerable to breaking because you are standing up or doing active motions with the headset on.
That is why Urban Armor Gear created its unique cases. We were fortunate to check out the UAG Scout and Plyo Case for the Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S.
UAG Scout Impressions
The UAG Scout protective Shell for Meta Quest 3S is probably my favorite out of the two. Not just aesthetically, but also how durable it feels on the device. The Scout case doesn’t impact the camera view of the device.
The UAG Scout case features Integrated Air Vents and a Raised Bezel to shield the lenses from scratches and impacts. It has lightweight, impact-resistant PC material for premium protection with a customizable IML hex design. There’s also no worrying about dropping your Meta Quest 3 or 3S headset, as the Scout case will protect it from any scratches or potential major damage.

With the Scout case, I feel more comfortable leaving the headset out on a table or desk because it prevents scratches from happening.
For just $45, it’s worth it to get this case for that peace of mind that there is extra protection on your Meta Quest. It’s also very easy to put on. It fits like a glove.
The Scout case from UAG is only available for Meta Quest 3 & 3S.
UAG Plyo Case Impressions

The other case we checked out from Urban Armor Gear is the Plyo Case for Meta Quest 3 and 3S.
Compared to the Scout case, this one feels more flexible, and in my opinion, it seems weaker. I didn’t feel as comfortable having this case on my Meta Quest. There are a couple of reasons for that.
One of the reasons I am not the biggest fan of the UAG Plyo Case is the aesthetics. I think it makes the Meta Quest headset look worse. I know looks aren’t everything, and who cares since you don’t look at it when using it, right? Or what about the times you aren’t using it? The Ash color it comes in doesn’t mesh well with the white headset, in my opinion.
The positives about the Plyo Case are that it’s been drop tested and does its job to protect your device. It didn’t feel snug on my Meta Quest headset, and the material to me doesn’t feel strong. I could easily rip off the Plyo Case compared to the Scout Case, which is hard to take off.
The UAG Plyo Case for Meta Quest 3 comes in Ash and Clear.
Verdict
If you are looking to add protection to your Meta Quest 3, you honestly can’t go wrong with either of these cases. I give the edge to the Scout Case, and the best part is that you save $5 compared to the Plyo Case.
