In Red Dead Redemption 2, once you begin Chapter 2, you have the option to do multiple main missions in any order you want. In our previous guide, we did Exit Pursued By A Bruised Ego. Next, we chose to do Who Is Not Without Sin.
How Long Is Who Is Not Without Sin?
This mission in Red Dead Redemption 2 is relatively short as long as you do everything in a timely manner. It should take you no more than 10 minutes, but this could be done a lot faster.
Who Is Not Without Sin Guide
To begin this mission, find RS on the map for Reverend Swanson. Set your waypoint to this destination located in The Heartlands. When you arrive at the Flatneck Station, avoid going in the front; you’ll want to walk around back. You will see three men playing poker, with one of them being Reverend Swanson, who is very drunk.
Tip: If you go through the front of the building you’ll run into two men who will want to beat you up. If you kill them and there’s witnesses you’ll become Wanted forcing you to hide and escape to restart the mission.
Walk in and talk to Reverend Swanson, and a cutscene will appear. Once the cutscene concludes, you will have the option to play poker or to leave. For the Gold Medal in this mission, you will need to play and win 2 rounds of poker.
When you start to play poker, Reverend Swanson will crawl his way out. After playing poker, Arthur has to look for the Reverend. You’ll see two Strangers who say he went West. Continue to walk near the yellow highlighted area. You will see that Swanson is having an altercation with someone. Intervene to get the man off of Reverend Swanson. The attacker will start to attack you, and if you take your gun out, he will knock it out of your hands if you are close. The best thing to do is keep your distance when he’s dealing with Swanson, then shoot him in the head.
However, if you decide to shoot him dead, there is a witness you will have to also try to confront or kill, or else the mission will fail if he gets away. After you stop the witness, a quick cutscene appears showing Reverend Swanson attempting to kill himself on the train tracks.
Run over to the bridge where Swanson went and save him. Hold the left stick to push, and continuously press A on Xbox or X on PlayStation to free him. He will eventually pass out from being too drunk. Once the cutscene concludes, stow him onto your horse and head over to Horseshoe Overlook to put the Reverend to his bed.
This will now conclude the Who Is Not Without Sin mission in Red Dead Redemption 2.
How To Unlock Gold Medal
There are two objectives in this mission to complete in order to get the Gold Medal. One of them is timed:
- Win 2 hands at Poker
- Return Reverend to Camp within 2 minutes and 5 seconds
